Butter Chicken



Ingredients Of Butter Chicken

  • 500g boneless chicken (cut into cubes)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

How to Make Butter Chicken

  1. Marinate chicken in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, garam masala, and salt for 30 mins.
  2. Cook chicken in a pan with oil until lightly browned. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter. Sauté onions until golden.
  4. Add tomato puree, cook until oil separates. Add cooked chicken.
  5. Stir in cream and kasuri methi. Simmer for 10–15 mins.
  6. Garnish with coriander and a swirl of cream.
